Water Jet Loom
A water jet loom is a shuttle-less loom that uses a high-pressure jet of water to propel the weft across the warp. Common in Surat for synthetic sarees and dress material.
Water jet looms run very fast — typically 600–1200 picks per minute — making them the workhorse of high-volume synthetic fabric units. They consume significant water and are less suited to natural fibres that absorb water.
Multi-shift water-jet operations need shift-by-shift, machine-by-machine production visibility because small variances at high RPM compound fast. MobiOffice surfaces this on the loom dashboard and in wastage-by-machine flags.
