Ends Per Inch

Ends per inch (EPI) is the count of warp yarns in one inch of fabric width. Together with picks-per-inch (PPI), EPI defines fabric density.

Beam planning multiplies EPI by fabric width to calculate total warp ends, and from there the total warp yarn requirement for an order. EPI is therefore one of the most consequential numbers on a design master — wrong EPI means wrong yarn order.

In MobiOffice, EPI lives on the design master once. Every beam plan, every yarn requirement calculation, every loom assignment references it from the same place — so no two systems disagree about a fabric specification.
