Greige
Greige (pronounced "gray") is unprocessed woven fabric as it comes off the loom — before dyeing, printing, bleaching, or finishing.
Greige is the typical handover point between a pure weaving unit and a downstream processing house (dyeing, printing, finishing). For a weaving unit, greige is the saleable output; for a vertically integrated mill, greige is an internal stage.
Greige inventory tracking, dispatch documentation, and GST invoicing follow the same rigour as finished goods. MobiOffice handles greige dispatch with the same barcode + e-way bill flow used for finished fabric.
